IPTV in Iceland
Iceland has near-universal fibre and no daylight saving time, so it sits one hour behind Scandinavia in winter and two hours behind in summer. IPTV handles that automatically: the guide shows Icelandic times and catch-up covers anything that aired before you got home.
Sport in Iceland
Handball and football dominate, with national-team matches watched by a remarkable share of the population. Viewers here also follow the English and Scandinavian football leagues closely, which makes a wide sports lineup more useful than in larger markets.
Your connection
Fibre reaches almost every home in Iceland, so bandwidth is rarely the limit. Traffic to mainland Europe runs over subsea cables, which adds a little delay but does not affect picture quality once the stream has started.
Time zone and programme guide
Iceland uses GMT (UTC+0) all year. The programme guide reads the time zone from your TV or streaming device, so check it is set to Ísland before your first evening. If a programme appears to start an hour early or late, that setting is almost always why.
Best devices for Iceland
Any device that runs an IPTV player works. These are the ones we have setup guides for:

IPTV in Iceland: questions
Does IPTV Nordic work in Iceland?
Yes. Any Icelandic internet connection works, and fibre is fast enough for 4K. The programme guide follows your device’s time zone, so set it to Icelandic time (GMT).
Why do Scandinavian programmes start at different times in Iceland?
Iceland uses GMT all year, so it is one hour behind Sweden, Norway and Denmark in winter and two hours behind in summer. The guide adjusts this for you.
Is there a delay on live sport in Iceland?
A few seconds more than in Scandinavia, because the stream travels over subsea cable. It is not noticeable unless you are comparing with a radio broadcast.
